Celebrating Us. Journals Matter.

This is our journaling thread. In addition to chatting with each other, keep a private journal this month. We all know that tracking our nutrition and fitness leads to better weight loss results. Keeping a weight-loss journal can help with weight loss by increasing awareness of what you eat and why, and it can help you stay on track with your goals.

There's no right or wrong way to journal for weight loss, but you can try these tips:


  • Write down everything you eat and drink: Record what you eat and drink as soon as you consume it, including small amounts and leftovers. Take a picture of your plate if it is easier. Be aware of your nutritional goals. Follow your meal plans.

  • Track your activity: You can include a log of your exercises in your journal.

  • Set goals: You can use your journal to set goals for your weight loss.

  • Plan your meals: You can use your journal to plan your meals.

  • Be consistent: Use your journal consistently to get the most benefit.


Keeping a written record of your weight loss story can be powerful, whether you make it public by posting items here or keep it private in a journal. Take pictures or use online trackers if they help you track what you are eating. Logging your workouts can keep your motivation going on tougher days. Keeping track of the amount of water you are drinking can ensure that you are getting enough servings in each day.

Sitting in the hotel room getting some work done and reading all the posts on here. Looks like everyone has been busy. I have worked out 2x since we left Saturday plus lots of steps. They called about my hip today and it shows degeneration and they wanted to refer me to ortho but I asked for a shot again. She said they could do one every 3 months. I couldn't do a replacement right now anyway because they will want me off my blood thinners and my cardiologist said definitely not when they wanted me off to do the endoscopy. Thought I would try to get back to my routine of posting in the morning.


Got another modified workout in. Got laundry in the washer and now to work. I need to make a list because I have a lot to catch up on. I am also going to start de-cluttering. I am sick of all the stuff! I told Mike and he was on board with getting rid of stuff. Good morning Chicas! It's Taco Tuesday so getting my Mexican vibes going. Ready to go south of the border if it is warmer down there. LOL I guess I can't complain. It is January and we are above freezing today.

Not a lot going on here in my world.. Just work now. Busy busy busy.. It's all good! Yep I have done some tax returns. They are done and ready to efile.


I got all my quarterlies done and over with. Now finishing up the bookkeeping and the big tax returns. Then it will be time to get crazy lol

Happy Monday! It was a lazy day for us...nice to relax! I dyed my hair and paid a couple of bills, so I did something... LOL


Yesterday we went to Belinda's with Mom and played games, had dinner and watched a movie. Same as most weekends.


Tomorrow I watch my kiddos, then we're all going to my aunt Kay and uncle Tom's house for dinner. It's the last time we'll see them before moving to Arizona Friday to live by their daughter Kellye (our cousin)... she's in town to help.


Can't wait to play with the kiddos tomorrow and Wednesday! Have a great week!
